Who's doing what this week?

Peter, was swapping the Caddy for a 255ci french flathead ( re-ringed, ported, literio l100 cam, HV oil pump, Navarro heads, home made slingshot for 2x94 holley, lightwieght flywheel) the Caddy engine will be used for another project.




Xav was working on the rain gutters 




Fred is working on hie coupster, the car sits on 4 tires now, engine is checked and everything's looks good and ready to go

How to use the valve timing indexer on ford flathead

It has been a while now that I'm working on flathead Ford engines and it always took me some time to adjust the lifters when changing camshaft and unfortunately it is not easy to find when the lifters are on the heel of the cam


I was looking at the Original NECO valve clearance indexer that was produce for Ford dealers before 1948, and decided to build one in order to save me some time and accuracy.

For the people those are not familiar with the adjustment of pushrods ,this tool helps to find the heel of the cam, where the pushrod has to stand during adjustment. here is a little video of how to use it, ,
